Our favourite brekkie options, with tea to match!

One of the best ways you can show your body some TLC is to have a hearty, healthy and fulfilling breakfast. Try and make an effort every morning to have a substantial and leisurely breakfast; losing 15 minutes sleep is worth if it means you can swap that sugary doughnut at the station for a bowl of oats and a soothing mug of tea, we think!

Ode To The Avocado – Avocado is astonishing stuff, loaded with heaps of vitamin E, iron, potassium and monosaturated fat (fear not, this is a ‘good’ kind of fat which tramples down cholesterol and blood pressure!). Avocado has even been labelled ‘King of the Fruits’. For breakfast, you could add avocado to a green smoothie, chuck into an omelette or crush into scrambled egg; our favourite option is to cram onto sour dough or rye bread, add some cracked black pepper and some nutritionally dense smoked salmon, boasting huge brain-power boosting properties.

Avocado toast is great with a big mug of Detox Tea, to refresh you and cleanse you for a busy day ahead. You’ll be full of energy and the omega 3 fatty acids from the salmon and avocado help lower cholesterol and blood pressure. Ace.

Oats – A top breakfast combo has to be Tea Huggers’ Good Morning tea with a comforting bowl of porridge. Wholegrains such as oats may be the key to living longer, a study in the USA in 2015 showed that those who ate a diet rich in wholegrains were 15% less likely to die from heart disease. Cram your favourite fruits, milk, a touch of cinnamon and oats into your breakfast bowl for a toasty, warming breakfast – loaded with health benefits. Served with Good Morning tea to slowly awaken and rejuvenate you with Yerba Mate, Ginseng and Gingko, you’ll be raring to face the day.

Eggs – Eggs are full of high quality protein - did you know that over half of the protein is actually found in the egg white? Eggs are also brimming with vitamin B2, selenium, vitamin D, zinc, iron and are classified as superfoods. A stellar breakfast idea is poached eggs with antioxidant-rich broccoli and wholemeal flatbread. You could add some vine tomatoes and sunflower seeds too for a top brekkie choice. We love this with Tea Huggers Skinny Fit tea to rev up the metabolism, increase energy and relieve fatigue.

Happy Breakfasting!
